Privacy Policy
How Pernicia handles your personal data when you use CosineHQ.

Who we are
CosineHQ is operated by Pernicia. For anything in this policy, contact us at engage@pernicia.in.
What we collect
Only what the product needs to work:
- Your account — name, email address and profile picture, received from Google when you sign in. We never see or store your Google password.
- Your résumé — the full text you paste. We keep the most recent one on your account so you do not have to paste it again.
- Job descriptions you paste, and the evaluations produced from them: fit score, verdict, the reasoning, and the job title and company named in the posting.
- Interview practice — which questions you attempted and the grades given. Your answers are sent to the AI model for grading but are not stored.
- Usage events — pages viewed and actions taken, held in our own database.
- Payments — amount, date and the reference Razorpay gives us. Card and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach us.
- A cookie before you sign in, so a visit can be linked to the account you later create.
Why we use it
To produce your evaluations and grades, keep your history so it is there when you return, take payment, enforce free limits, and understand which parts of the product people use. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
The talent pool is opt-in
Creating an account does not put you in front of employers. Your profile is only shared with an employer if you separately and explicitly opt in, and you can withdraw that at any time by contacting us.
Who we share it with
We use the following processors. Each receives only what its job requires, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes.

Where your data goes — read this one
We want to be direct about this rather than bury it. CosineHQ is built in India, but your data does not stay in India:
- Your account, résumé and history are stored in Singapore.
- The server code that handles your requests runs in the United States.
- When you request an evaluation, a grade or a résumé rewrite, the relevant text — which includes your résumé — is sent to OpenRouter, which forwards it to an AI model provider. We cannot currently pin which country that happens in.
If that is not acceptable for your circumstances, please do not paste anything into CosineHQ that you are not comfortable being processed outside India.
How long we keep it
Your account and its data are kept while your account exists. Practice answers are not stored at all. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal data within 30 days, other than records we are legally required to retain.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw consent you previously gave.
These are handled by email rather than a button in the product today. Write to engage@pernicia.in from the address on your account and we will action it within 30 days. We are being explicit about this because we would rather tell you it is a manual process than imply a self-service one that does not yet exist.
Cookies
We set a cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember a visit before you sign in. Those are necessary for the product to function. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner, and declining does not restrict anything.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to the production database is restricted to the people who operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Children
CosineHQ is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Grievances
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, contact our grievance officer at engage@pernicia.in. We will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will tell you in the product.
